#1 Wine of the Year

2015 Antica Terra, Chardonnay ‘Aequorin’
Willamette Valley Oregon

The only 100-point wine of the 2022. The wine was absolutely unforgettable and yes, perfect. Incredibly intense and incredibly complex on both the nose and the palate. Acidity, alcohol, phenolics and weight all perfectly balanced. Mouth filling textures are suave and sleek. You can feel the power of this wine, but the power is so precisely executed with elegance and poise. The finish lingers endlessly. Perfection!

This is hands down the best domestic Chardonnay I have tasted to date (and I've tasted more than my fair share). This stands toe to toe with the upper echelon of Burgundian Chardonnay, from similar vintages and outperforms more of them than not.
100 Points - $245
